Strawberry Shortcake and her friends are colorful dolls
each scented and named for a dessert. Besides the dolls,
the Strawberry Shortcake characters appeared in cartoons,
books, and many other items for young girls.
The later Strawberry Shortcake dolls came with a pet,
Strawberry's is custard, a pink kitten. Some of her
friends include Blueberry Muffin, Lemon Meringue, and
Huckleberry Pie, the only boy of the group.
Their villains are the Purple PieMan and Sour Grapes.
